Old Fullers Earth Site

This eyesore – on Green Belt Land and adjoining an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – at the southwest gateway to our beautiful World Heritage City – has been created without planning permission. Only a small part of the land is permitted for industrial use.

The Environment Agency have served many charges and issued formal cautions against the site owner.

Bath and North East Somerset Council have so far failed to fulfill enforcement action.

Large sums of public money – your money – has been wasted by poor Council decisions.

It’s time we held the Council and the landowner to account.

The Council must:

  • Take effective enforcement action.
  • Bring the activities on the site back to the part of the land which is permitted for industrial purposes.
  • Ensure that the land which does not have established industrial usage is restored to it’s original condition, including wildlife, trees and hedges.
  • End local residents’ misery of noise pollution and damage to the Green Belt caused by off-road motor biking.
  • Clean up the mess.

Protect Bath is working ensure the land is restored to its appropriate use and original condition.
